The start of something, if wonderful and most desirable, is never simple, and often a long long journey. That was exactly how it went on for my two best buddies. The handsome guy I had a crush on, was so funny and adorable. Yet his focus was on God and God alone. "Look at the big picture" he would say. The chick, well, she had her share of colourful birds knocking at the door and was constantly adored by all people. She always said "Greater things to come" simply because she trusted all she had on the Magnificient Living God, her Saviour. Before the fairytale of getting together, was a sturdy and stable friendship, in which many memories were shared. The mocking of the deer pig toward the small kid, the tears shed, the horrors of tales and camp jokes... everything added on to create this beautiful courtship; and now, a new level of commitment and love, deeper and stronger, and united in the Lord. HUGZ to the both of you! Love you!!!
Gene, short for Genevieve Teoh, has been a long standing friend through and through. We reminiscence those days of walking in the streets of Singapore, trips to Seremban and crazy chats we had on staircase, buses and in camps!
I got to know Terence and Debbie much better 5 years ago. What do I think of these two lovebirds? Terence is a joker, a great leader and an impact to those around him. Debbie is caring, passionate for God and for the people. These are two wonderful people who serves our Great God! Praise God for the both of you! Congratulations!
Joan Wong, an awesome leader herself with great passion. Her quiet demeanour and inner strength is a reflection of God in her. We have shared many quality ‘makan’ sessions together sharing life and life’s lessons.
Deb and Ter... they've seen me grow up, took all my annoying teenage stance but STILL patiently love (right, right?), guide, whack me up and just was there when I needed them...
They are like:
A compass,
That will only and always point people back to the Way, Truth and Life;
A great book review,
That will get people excited about the Author and His Book;
A loving sibling,
That will show other strayed siblings the way back to the Father's heart;
And the behind-the-scenes of an amazing movie,
That allows people to watch the Director Himself at work
Yuet Chern, some call her Gretchen, and to some Olive. This scrawny match stick like chick has amazing brains, gifted in music and an amazing passion for the Master at such tender age. At only 19, this soon to become doctor, has the ability to join the Mensa club!
It was by divine appointment that Debbie and I met in Perth. Though she's only been in Perth for a year, I have been tremendously blessed by her fellowship (not forgetting numerous food, coffee-and-cake sessions). I thank God that our friendship grew beyond that one year span. On the other hand, Terence... it's quite a funny story... For years a few of my good friends are good friends with him, but I've NEVER gotten to know him personally, not until the blossoming of this God-ordained relationship. The lives they lead are certainly an inspiration to many. They've shown me that the narrow way took a lot of patience and obedience, but the rewards are truly great. Most importantly, their heart for more of God continually stirs me on. It's been an honour being a part of your lives.
Hazel Loo. Some people call is coincidence, others call it fate but we call it divine. Deb and Hazel’s friendship feels like umpteen years old, but in reality it has been merely a few years. They’ve clocked in approximately 150 hours of talking, 100 hours of walking and 50 hours of cooking. This friendship goes beyond skin deep; it’s about sharing LIFE with one another. Terence got pulled into the picture not long after that and tasted the essence of this divine connection.
